Default Need help wiring stock key switch back in

Hi, my dad has recently purchased a 1994 ezgo marathon electric cart. It drives, charges, etc. just as it should. I have been working on engines for many years but honestly these carts are completely new to me. The previous owner had wired in a toggle switch (literally a switch you would use on a 110v house circuit) in place of the factory key switch. We think he lost the key, but whatever the case may be, that was his choice of "repair". He ran one terminal on the switch to the +12v battery post and the other terminal to what looks like a solenoid of some sort (will attach pic asap). He purchased a new key switch and I installed it this afternoon, however, it does nothing. I tried unplugging his wiring and tracing back any "new" wires however I can't find anything out of place. With the new switch installed, I can reconnect the previous owners switch and it works like it did before. Its almost as if the key is bypassed. And without the toggle switch in, I can't seem to get it to power up. I've been tracing wires down for hours and only found a couple suspect connections.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. Greetings from Milwaukee WI

On the right side lead, where it connects to FNR Micro Switch, where is that physically on the cart?

Your picture #3 shows the F&R and micro switches (ms)

Blue F&R ms wire brings power to the keyswitch when cart is in gear.
