2001 EZGO Workhorse 800 with wiring problems
I'm working on an EZ-GO Workhorse for a friend. He brought it over and the ignition switch was hanging out of the panel with not all of the wires connected. It is a 4 pronged switch but there are 5 wires coming out of the panel. Two identical blue/white stripe, 1 blue, 1 green, and 1 red that has a male prong extending from the female plug. The way he had it connected if you turned the key to position 1 the engine would turn as if the gas pedal was depressed but it would not start. I cannot figure out the correct wiring positions. Also, I checked the pedal switch to make sure that it was not shorted and it isn't. It is working correctly.
i would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance. |

I've found that the solenoid is bad which is causing the engine to turn over but the wiring is a mess.
