2012 Precedent brake light switch location
My brake lights are stuck ON so as a starting point I'd like to find the brake light switch and do some testing. Is it in the pedal assembly?

If it's a factory light kit, there's a pressure sensor underneath the rubber brake pedal pad. Heat it with a hair dryer and pull outward on it and see if the brakes turn off. Those things are extremely sensitive.

I've read most of your posts about this problem and I'll try that. The brake lights worked okay for about 2 years before they got stuck on. I just assumed that the switch was bad so I bought a new switch (part #102517701) but it hasn't arrived yet. One way or another I hope to fix the problem. Also bought the service manual but there's nothing in it about the brake light switch.
