2011 EZ-GO won't "go"

I just purchased a used 2011 gas ez-go cart Saturday (2-25-17) and it worked as it should until yesterday. I was riding around with my daughter and I came to a stop at the house and 5 minutes later tried to take it to put it up in the shed and I pushed the gas pedal and the oil light came on and the gas gauge registered the fuel in there but the engine would not turn over. I checked the oil and it was at the proper level and looked to be nearly new. I checked connections and everything seems to connected and tightened properly. I'm new to owning a cart and don't know much about them so any insight to this would be appreciated greatly. Thanks in advance!

Check by the F&R handle by the engine, a micro switch should be there, make sure it's connected. Do you have a reverse buzzer when put in R?

I'll check that out Titus, but no, no reverse buzzer on there that I've heard. If it does have one it's not working.

When you say won't turn over, does it spin and not start ? or won't spin ?

It won't spin at all when the gas pedal is pushed.

Put the cart in neutral and preferably on jack stands. Get a volt meter and check for 12+ volts going to the main starter wire. If nothing, check for the same at the solenoid. If nothing there you probably have a bad solenoid. If you jumper the main leads and it spins, definitely solenoid.
