I assume the cart goes Forward and Reverse normally (not super fast in reverse).
What did You do with the purple wire in this picture?  It controls the Mode 1 vs Mode 2: If You have it connected to +48v, disconnect it. |

have not done anything to the purple wire, forward and reverse do work fine.

well that did nothing, hooked purple wire to 48 volt and no changes
