G14
Have battery voltage to accelerator switch when key is on when accelerator is pushed lose all voltage to small terminal on solenoid so and wont start on 1996 Yamaha gas G14

Check the stop/start switch under the pedals.

That's the one in talking about i have 12.59 volts on both sides when key is on and when pedal is pushed i have no voltage on rather wire wondering if it's bad or there is a short somewhere else thanks karp

With the meter leads on each small terminal, there should be no voltage when the key is on. Press the pedal, and you should have 12 volts.

Thanks thats what I thought I also have 12v at both wires on stop switch I should only have power to brown wire then when pedal is pushed red & white wire should send voltage to solenoid. when i push pedal voltage goes to 0 on solenoid. Dont know if its the stop switch or a bad wire some where any ideas

Ok the only way it starts is to put a jumper wire to neg post on battery and neg small terminal on solenoid
