There's no timing adjustment, it's a 2 stroke, they are timed by the ports in the cylinder.
Are you getting spark? What color is it? I'd be looking at fuel delivery first. Make sure you are getting a steady stream at the carb. Make sure the float is set correctly. Also make sure your fuel/oil mix is correct. The manual states that the factory oil injection system mixes at between 150:1 and 300:1 depending upon load and rpm etc. I always used Echo brand air cooled oil and mixed at 85:1 - 100:1 and it never had any issues, no smoke. Too much oil will make the cart run fuel lean and that's no bueno with 2 strokes, it will also smoke like crazy. Did you take a plug reading? See if it's running lean or rich. Plug should be tan/grey color. If it's yellow it's lean. If it's black it's rich. If it's oily it's....well....oily lol. Vacuum leaks can cause havoc and make a 2 stroke run lean and might damage the piston. Check all of your hoses and make sure they are new, flexible, and in good condition. |
