Default 1993 Club Car - How to check the coil?

Trying to check the coil as my 93 club car does not have spark. I'm new with club cars and it looks like I have to take half the engine apart to get to it. Any help would be great?

I think your coil/ignitor is a single unit ignitor built into coil...you can do it without taking engine out just remove exhaust and the plastic shroud will come out in 2 peices..4 phillips head screws hold center peice to the main part and the main part is the hardest but can be done..this is the way i have done it..it eliminates the need to realign engine..after the shrould is off coil is right there hope this info is correct

they switched to the coil/ignitor combo in mid to late 96 i beleive so your ignitor should be bolted to the rear of the bracket that holds the rpm limitor on..............and they are mounted under the cart above the oil drain plug......................nice and easy a 15 minute job.......my only reccomendation is replace them both at the same time.........................
