Re: Cart running half speed?!
I was just wondering how the project was going. You are doing good. Hang in there.

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Tank, my cart came with the 1206SX controller in it.... its a DCS cart. When I went by my local dealer, they had a reman'd controller on the shelf for $195, with a one year warranty. (They sell for $275 but he sold to me at 10% over his cost) Now that I'm back on the road, this cart will be prepped for sale as I've learned enough about these DCS carts to want to give it away... or convert to PDS. Either way, I have two other carts I play with and this one (since it's fixed) will find a new home soon.
I've learned that fixing up a DCS cart is like polishing a turd.... unless you really want to dump some serious money in to it and upgrade away from EzGo's poorly designed controller/motor..... |

Toss an Alltrax DCX400 (or larger) controller in it and it is a good cart. With a DCX controller, the stock DCS motor has more torque than a stock PDS motor, but slightly less top end speed. |

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Thanks JOhnny, that's exactly what my local dealer said. He tried to sell me a DCX500 but I refused due in large part to my number of toys and I've been tempted to sell this one and focus on converting my resister cart over to solid state. IN fact, I sold the DCS to my neighbor this evening... (which means I still get to work on it when it breaks) :) it's all good though because he wants to make it go faster! Tank, go big on that controller.... at least 400 or you'll be doing it again.

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Just an update. I put in a new Alltrax 400 controller last night and it runs unbelievable! I would've of went with a 500, but was scared of burning up my stock motor. Thank y'all so much for all of your time and help, it is greatly appreciated! !

Re: Cart running half speed?!
Outstanding! Look at it this way,... you should never have to replace that one again! Glad to hear your rolling!
