Heavy gauge battery cables
Hey guys, it's been a while and I hope everyone's doing good. New question - my 96 electric TXT is going great, I decided to spend a couple bucks and grab the heavy gauge battery cables for it - the kit came with 5 cables which is enough for the batteries but doesn't cover the other wires - so is it useless to change them if I'm just using lighter gauge wires to the controller, motor, etc??
Thoughts? Thanks !! |

Re: Heavy gauge battery cables
Josh, yep, that is what I found with my cart. Only the battery connections were upgraded, I got some welding wire to match at the local welding shop and did the others from the battery pack to the controller and solenoid. Mine runs a bit better now.

Re: Heavy gauge battery cables
The high amperage cable system works as a unit to deliver amperage from the pack to the motor. All the cables should be of the same size and construction.

Re: Heavy gauge battery cables
Yes! Get some more cables. Why make juice flow between the batteries better and not to the controller or motor. Just doesn't make since
