Default 1012190 CC 36v motor on 03 DS

Will a 1012190 36v motor work as a swap in replacement on my 48V 03 DS? I’m unsure the vintage of the motor. What’s it worth?

As long as your '03 48v cart is a series drive it'll work. It's a cheap "hop up" in speed and torque but by no means should be a permanent replacement. Who knows how old it is???

As far as cost, have no idea. Probably around $100 or so it it works, but how do you know it's in working condition? If it were me, I'd take the money you plan on putting towards that old motor and save it for a new 48v motor.

I was planning on making it a permanent solution. There is nothing wrong with my stock motor, I’m just looking for a bit of an upgrade on the cheap.

It looks like it would work, if you can get it cheap say 75-100 bucks try it! You won't get the speed or torque that a new motor would give you but it's a cheap upgrade that might be all you need. My 36v cart on 48v has gobs of torque but only gets to 17 mph.

Thanks, I just made an offer on it. I understand it’s a gamble not seeing it in person.
