I personally wouldn't take anything less than 8.35v.

What if I get Specific Gravity readings above 1.277? Charged battery showing me 1.35 to 1.4?

You might want to start a new thread to address this question ... have a read of the following article:

https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/...tate_of_charge

Some makes of lead acid batteries may use a higher concentration of acid in them, hence the higher density. The BU article indicates higher density, more energy from the battery, but shorter life due to higher corrosion.

I’ve had great luck with my US pack. What charger do you have? They seem to like a higher charge than others. My DPI float charges them at 52.5 volts with the proper setting on it.

i have a question about new battery break in also, do we have to run the pack down to 25% before recharge? would 5-10% be enough? i recently bought a new onward and am doing the break in process at home, basically when my kid comes home from school i have him pull the cart out and run around the acreage for an hour or so as he does chores. i dont want to be chasing my wife around the rv park with a DMM so i am wanting to do the break in at home.
so what im asking LOL is "under-dishcharging" and then charging overnight ok? or am i wasting time and accomplishing nothing ?
thanks
Chris.

I asked the same question a few years ago as I just couldn’t get them down much on a daily basis.......was told if it’s not running, it needs to be on the charger......

Don't worry about how "little" it was used. Plug it in and let it do its thing.
