SFJ - That 150 amp solenoid is too small for even a 200 amp Alltrax. Using it will void the warranty on the new Alltrax 500 controller.
Get a 400 amp unit as specified by Alltrax. I hope this helps

I would take it back to him and let him know he mis-matched it some how. You really need the 400a. Don't forget the pre-charge resistor (large posts) and suppression diode (small posts) needs to be installed. Remember the orientation described previously for the diode.

And I MUCH prefer a superduty solenoid like an MZJ-400A. They have 3/8" studs on the large posts and threaded studs for the small posts. Not the spades as you have now. This provides for a stronger connection on your wiring.

I tightened all connections and replaced ratty wire. Solenoid works but I think I will get the bigger one. It clicked, drove nice. Just went down the block then parked it because my 2ga wires have not arrived yet. Thanks for all the help.

Just an update. Cart runs great. Gets 25 mph with the large tires. Hooked up the Alltrax Toolkit Manual and power is set to 100%. Throttle 12.5%. Anyone think it should be doing a little faster? I am cool with how it runs but thought I would be 27-28. Would really dig 28. Let me know your thoughts or is this all this cart should be doing.
