On board charger
If I go the route of getting a new summit charger, should I go onboard or pay more for the pig tail for off board?

Re: On board charger
I have one of each in my test fleet. The on-board is about 3 years old now and looks amazingly filthy dirty and I'm afraid to wash it While the off board charger still looks near new. The 650w is lightweight, I've put a SB50 cord on it so I can plug multiple adapters into it. So if you have more than 1 cart that may be a good option.
The on board is quite convenient - all you need is an AC cord to plug it in... |

Re: On board charger
Scottyb, Do you know if I can take my club car cord off my power drive and put it on the summit 2 charger?

Re: On board charger
Yes, you can use the PowerDrive charge cord. And with not much effort you can also connect two wires on the controller to the grey wire from the charge receptacle and have the Summit II also activate the controller lockout during charging. This requires nothing extra for an on-board mount. You’ll need a 10k ohm resistor for the off-board mount to activate/de-activate the lockout.

Re: On board charger
I’m in the same boat right now. Want to get a new charger and replace this old 36v AccuPower. Was thinking of getting an on board so I can charge anywhere. What’s out there that’s worth it?

A Lester Summit II in the 650W version can charge Both 36V and 48V so if you ever plan to upgrade to a 48V supply that's the for sure way to go. |

Re: On board charger
Can’t see the banner on Tapatalk. I was however looking at that exact one a couple weeks ago on there. No problems using that as an onboard?

Re: On board charger
It's one of the smallest chargers on the market right now and is designed for On-board and Off-board use, and is selectable between the two using the Charger Connect App.
