Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
It was the wiring schematic that got posted that threw me off.. . Just wanted to be sure we were on the same schematic. Not all schematics are created equal... ... Results, later today... Thanks again..

Quote:
Green Wire: That is how the OBC used to communicate with the Controller about how full the batteries were. If the batteries cannot accept a regenerative charge, the OBC removes power from the green wire and that causes the Controller to switch to Dynamic Brake instead of Regenerative brake. |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
OK... inline 15 amp fuse installed... Voltage reading at yellow/black wire of MCOR is
Tow/Run switch = Run Pedal Released: ~ 3.67v Pedal fully depressed : ~ 0.02v Also checked with key ON... same results Checked this 3 times... Doesn't make sense to me... |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
Those early Regen carts changed with every year model and were very different from the current implementation.
I forgot the throttle signal was one of the quirks. The voltage at pedal up has to be more than 3v otherwise You get an HPD (High Pedal Detected error), the spec was 3.5v. Pedal down should be close to 0v. Your voltages look fine. Was the cart working before the OBC by-pass? |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
No sir... My wife was using the cart before it quit working. We pushed it to charge center and I plugged in the charger (thinking it may have run the batteries down). Plugged charge into CCbut it would not charge. I checked battery voltages and all 6 batteries were at 8.45 volts.
Since the charger was not responding to the batteries, I decided to go ahead and bypass the OBC. The batteries will now accept a charge but the cart will not go. BTW, I ran this test with key off - tow/run - on and FNR in Neutral... Also same test with key - on... same results as posted. |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
OK... I decided to test solenoid.. key=on .. tow/run switch=run... FNR=Forward.. Pedal fully depressed. Results at Solenoid is below...
Blue wire terminal = ~ 50.5v Blue/White wire terminal = ~ 0.04v Yellow Cable terminal = ~ 50.5v Red Cable and Red/White wire terminal = ~ 50.5v With Pedal Released... Blue wire terminal = ~ 50.5v Blue/White wire terminal = ~ 50.5v Yellow Cable terminal = ~ 49.7v Red Cable and Red/White wire terminal = ~ 50.5v Shouldn't Yellow Cable terminal return back to close to ~ 0 volts? Am thinking I have a stuck Solenoid.. |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
That looks normal, that system kept the Controller capacitors charged using pin #1 on the Controller 23-pin connector instead of a pre-charge resistor.
Check the Controller output. Keep one rear wheel raised so the cart cannot move. Measure the voltage from Motor or Controller A1 (positive probe) to A2 (negative probe) The voltage should vary from about 5v when the solenoid clicks to near pack voltage with the pedal all the way down. |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
Voltage at A1 to A2 is ~o.2v at any pedal position
Solenoid turns ON about 2 inch pedal travel Also checked: Voltage at A1 to ground is ~50.4v at any pedal position Voltage at A2 to ground is ~50.4v at any pedal position |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
Thanks Sergio!
I can say for the problem at hand, the A posts of the motor should have pack voltage when at rest. The controller grounds the armature circuit, so pack voltage will drop on the ground side A post only if the controller is providing that ground. |

Re: AC0137 - Won't Move FWD or BKWD
Before I do something stupid (like ground the A2 terminal at the motor or Controller), is there a test to see if the Controller is hung up in lockout mode?
