1992 Electric CC Vglide do I need diode?
I was wondering if the 1992 Club Car 36 volt electric, no controller, needs a diode or bullet connector anywhere? Also, if I am redoing some electrical wires, not cables, what wire do I need? If I need to replace some of the cables, not the battery cables, what do I use for that? They seem smaller.

Re: 1992 Electric CC Vglide do I need diode?
In that design the Solenoid contacts open/close under a small load and therefore You should not use a diode on the coil as the contacts need to release quickly to avoid damage.
Solenoid coil and micro-switches use 16ga. Key switch wiring use 14ga. Any high current cable: Battery, VGlide, Motor or FNR should use 4ga. |
