Correct, Blue (input) and Green/White (output) are the micro-switch wires.

The Black and the White wires are the throttle wires and they could be either 0-5kΩ or 5k-0Ω depending how they are connected inside the VGlide.

You can do that quick test on the resistance range from terminal #2 and #3 at the controller to find out.

If it is a 0-5kΩ setup, You can use a simple resistor to provide reduced half-speed.

If it is a 5k-0Ω, it is more complicated and a resistor in the reverse circuit would cause a problem.

It is unfortunately that neither the BU folks nor the "guy with the scanner (he is not a technician)" knew what they were doing.

You do not want an MCOR with that Controller, the resistance range of the MCOR is wrong for this application.

I will definitely go a different route this time. I went with the kit because of my lack of basic knowledge on these carts. Thought the kit would have all the parts and the directions to install. I can follow directions pretty well and can read a wiring diagram. Trouble shooting the cart is a different story. I have an email into BuggiesUnlimited now to see what they can do for me. I made the original purchase back in November and only recently got finished with the cart so that is probably an issue with returning any of the parts at this point.

There is likely nothing wrong with the kit, just a lot of folks that didn't know what they were doing.

If You want to get the cart working, You need to check the throttle resistance range or everyone will still be guessing what to do.

I will check it out tomorrow when I have help. It was a lot easier to work on when the cart body was off. All I need is a lift and a programmer and I should be set. lol

Just set your multimeter to ohms (k) and connect the leads to the BLACK and WHITE wires like Sergio suggested. Measure from pedal UP to pedal DOWN to see what your throttle output is. Either 0-5k or 5k-0 and that will allow Sergio to guide you what to do next.

So unless I am testing this wrong I have 0 at petal up and 2.76 which I assume is 2760 ohms at petal down. Now both my black and white wires have a Y and two connectors. One of each goes to the controller and one goes to micro switches. I believe these had male female bullet connectors to be sure they are hooked up correctly.

only getting 2.76k is why you're only going 12mph. The controller is only seeing half throttle. Try unplugging the 2 throttle wires and testing resistance with them completely disconnected and see if you get the full 5k. If so, then you have something wired wrong. IF not, then something is probably wrong with the v glide. I can't see any other reason it would not read 5k when disconnected from the cart.

That is the reading You will get if the reduced speed resistor is in the circuit.

Was the FNR in Reverse when you checked the reading?

If not, the micro-switch #3 is wired wrong, that is the switch with the Black and the White wires.

Disconnect the wires from micro-switch #3 and test it again.

So if I disconnect all the wiring to the v-glide I get 2760 ohms. Changed the battery in my meter to make sure its working right and I still getting the same reading.

I also checked my other cart which is still a 36v but really wanting to check my meter. Values are all over the place but I think there is some corrosion on the connectors on that cart. Need more hands I think.

You will continue to get that reading until You disconnect the wires from micro-switch #3.
