Default What year is it ?

Could use a little help here. Purchased a well built kit car ( 32 ford roadster ). Chassis is definately club car. It is 48 volt, it has a V-glide, It has a blue motor that reads D&D or D & S, it has 4 resistor coils, but nowhere can I find the year. The serial # is not in it's usual place under the dash, and or it has been covered by the fiberglass body. Ideas what year?

Issues...it is jerky at low speeds. Smells like the wires are hot when driving. Cables feel warm and soft after driving, am, replacing them tomorrow with 2ga.
I'm not a newbie...have been hobbying with carts for 10 years...but I don't know everything !

Thanks in advance for tech advice from the world's best forum..

88 to 03 if it has vglide and coils ….but should be 36 volt not 48...
if that's what you have and somebody juiced it to 48 volts , the VGlide might be melty....take it apart and look inside at the pads for wear and hot spots...post pics....

Like Budule says, it sounds like a 36v resistor cart that someone made a 48v cart.

You know how to find them on '81 and up. On CC carts prior to 1981, you can find the serial number by raising the seat and locating the aluminum I-beam frame section closest to the batteries on the driver’s side of the car. Some If it has two brake pedals and one accelerator pedal, then you know it is a 1975-1980 model.

CC never made a 48v Resistor cart. Only 36 volts carts had resistors....(The Regen carts had a single resistor for the dynamic brake)

And the 48v Multi step potentiometer is different from that of the 36v resistor V-glide.
