Pictures and Descriptions of Swing Arm Drop!
As stated in another thread, I'm working on putting a G2 rear differential in my G1. It will be nice having reverse again.
When I originally lifted the cart I lifted it much more than planned. It lead to an extreme angle on my swing arm. This is what I want to take care of. Dropping the front will also give me a little more clearance in the rear where the shocks mount. I'm looking for examples and descriptions of how you all dropped and moved back/lengthened your swing arm. I'm looking to drop the front about 5" and moving it back 4". I'm thinking that I will cut the original swing arm mounts off the cross member then I'll weld square tube to the cross member which will bring the mounts back part way and I'll also drop this square tube down some. Then I'll make new mounts to make up the difference. If anyone has any better ideas feel free to post them here with pictures and descriptions included. |
