Bronco your throttle cable is already hooked direct to your carb. Someone already by passed your gov.. The G2 has a rev limiter so its only going to go so fast. Change it out with one from a G9 if you want to go faster.

If you are only going 10mph with governor bypassed, and are hitting the rev limiter, the clutches must be pretty bad.

So the rev limiter on the axle will not do anything if I adjust that??
Also if the clutches are bad would it not have trouble climbing up the ramps on the car trailer (it seemed to climb up better than I thought)??????

the rev limiter/ignitor is mounted on you gas tank. small square black box with a plug and wires going to it. On the rear end is where your govenor is located. Your throttle cable has been removed from your rear end already and hooked direct to your carb so there is no need to do anything with that. The rev limiter is what you will need to replace if you want it to go faster. Get one from a G9 and you should be good. If you can send pics of your rear secondary clutch we can look at that for you also and someone on here will be able give you good advise as well. If you need help with anything else just ask. There is a lot of good people on here who are willing to help

I will do my best to take a couple of pics of the stock G9 that i have so you can see what the govenor hooked up looks like and the ignitor also.

OK here are the pics.... Another newbie question... We put the F/R lever in the middle just to start it and when we push the gas the throttle does not move but the engine revs up???
I know it must have something to do with the rev limiter on the gas tank but.... how does it rev without the plate moving.... Does the limiter allow more air in? So does that cable do anything at all?
