Unhappy Turf II Gas 2008 won't go move RG0833

Thank you for taking the time to look at my post and possibly provide help with my situation.

Gas Club Car - I believe it's a Turf II 2008

Serial number is : RG0833-944221

The battery reads at over 14 volts

The hours are always on the dash (Not sure if they are supposed to stay on)

Main Issue:

When I put the cart in drive or reverse and press the gas, I get nothing. When I press the pedal no sound happens. When I press the pedal the motor used to kick on and the cart would drive in the direction I chose. Now it is just sitting there refusing to make an attempt. The lift in the bed works, meaning it raises and lowers even when the key is position is off.

I would greatly appreciate any help or directions to ensure I find the issue, and possibly repair this cart asap. Thanks again for your time and willingness to share your knowledge

I believe you are having a problem with one of the micro switches.
You would have to follow the wiring diagrams and determine which switch is not changing positions.

Hey Spyder,

Thanks for the head start. Is that diagram on the cart, or is that something I need to search for online?

I would search the BGW forum, as I have been able to find most of the diagrams and parts listing that I have needed for my rebuild.
You are going to have 2 switches at the fwd/rev selector and then 1 or 2 in the control box for the throttle cut off.
Hope this helps

Have you checked the fuses in the Electrical Components Box?

Most Club Car DS's only have 1 fuse, I'm guessing you have at least 4 of them!

I looked at mine and it has two 15 amp fuses and two empty spaces. I've included a picture of what mine looks like as well as the cart itself.

Where would I look to see the microswitches? That looks like it could be one in that box, but aren't there 3? Are there any underneath the cart at the pedal I should be looking for?

Thanks

Sometimes on Carryalls you'll have 4 fuses... lights, dump box, Ignition, and other accessories.

For the micro switches...
There are two of them in the ECB, They're stacked, so it's kind of hard to see the bottom micro!
The bottom micro is the engine kill circuit,
a simple test for that one is disconnect the only solid black wire from the bottom switch, and see if it starts,
if it does? it's a bad micro, if not? you'll have to move on to other things.

The other two micro's are on the backside of the F/N/R shifter.

Ok Thanks! I pulled the black plug and still didn't start. Are the accelerator switch and fnr switches located in the dash and/or underneath the actual cart? I don't hear clicking when I press the gas pedal, but would the solenoid cause this issue or the micro switches?

You have two micro's in the ECB, and two micros mounted to the backside of the FNR shifter... that's all!

Yes... a bad solenoid could keep it from starting!
jump the two large lugs on the solenoid and see if the engine turns over,
BUT... before you go and replace it, you still need to see if power is getting to the solenoid,
(the other 3 microswitches work in conjunction to supply power to the solenoid)

Have you tested anything with a volt meter?
