Steering Shaft Removal
I have a 2005 Yamaha G22. What's the easiest way to remove the steering shaft that contains the 2 u joints? Are these u joints replaceable? Ilooked on a few sites & all they show are the complete shaft for $550-$580 bucks! I thought someone would probably know if I can just replace the u joints.

Re: Steering Shaft Removal
lol I can relate, I've junked several G22s and removing the steering shaft and the joints can be a big pain, but it can be done. Problem is there is no EASY way per se lol, just do it as you go

Re: Steering Shaft Removal
2 12mm head bolts at the bottom and the top, remove the 4 13mm bolts holding the rack assy and move the rack asembly to the rear of the car for shaft removal.
