Testing a ITS
2002 Ezgo
wanting to test the ITS? stand alone Is this possible? Or does it need to have a good solenoid and controller hooked up? |

It needs a voltage supply like 9-12v in and see what it sends back through out the pedal range.

The ITS unit reduces the input voltage. The difference between the input and output is the signal. I believe, you can put 12v+ in the white wire and read the output on the black wire when the pedal is pressed. I haven't needed to try this but it should work.

Ops found a couple minutes to do test.
Ok with a 12v. Battery 12.56 on battery. I ran a jumper wire from + on battery to the white wHite side terminal of itp the volt meter on black to - on batty. 11.6 v. When pedal is push nothing change. |

I tried testing this way on my cart and it did NOT work.
The test was positive when the solenoid latched and the control LED was green |
