G16 input shaft threads
I pulled my input shaft to remove the governor and replace the bearing (it was making growling noises). I dropped the shaft from off the back of the cart which hit the driveway. I didn't notice that the threads got boogered up and when I put the nut on I stripped the threads on the nut and messed up the threads on the shaft. I need to chase the threads and get a new nut. Does anyone know the thread size on the shaft? Also, this is a replacement shaft from CPP, assuming it's the same size.
It's a real bummer to get it all put back together and get stopped by something so simple!!! Jonathan |

Re: G16 input shaft threads
Threads are 1.25, if that helps.

Re: G16 input shaft threads
Thanks, that does help. I got a die and ended up actually stripping it......go figure. I did what I should have done, used a grinder with a cut off wheel and cut and 1/8 of an inch off. I had the old nut from my original shaft and put it on for now, new one is ordered.
