What year G1?
Hey guys I'm new to this site and was hoping I could get some help on figuring out what year this Yamaha G1 is. I attached some pictures of it along with the engine bay and also where the vin/ serial number should be. I've looked all over the frame to try to find it without any luck. I also attached A photo of the number on the engine block thinking that might help out identifying it also. Any help with identifying what year this thing is would be much appreciated.

Check the other side of the square tubing for VIN but those solenoids are the first ones so somewhere in the Early 80s that being said as long as it's not a 82 it doesn't really matter parts wise they were all the same besides 82

Thanks for the reply. I checked on the passager side of the back bumper and still don't see it. The s/n should be on that back tubing facing on the outside of the cart correct? Is there any other way to tell the year on it? I want to find a service manual for this thing but I'm not sure if they change by the year of the cart.

Here's a pic of where it should be it's stamped in there so if it's rusty it may be a little hard to spot

Yea I looked again and took a wire wheel to it and still didn't find a s/n for it. Do you know if you can tell the age off the numbers on the motor?

I have one where the # is posted on frame tube in back towards rear bumper. Is there any sign of a grinding mark where someone may have removed it ?

No sign of grinding on the bumper. I'll check on the frame tomorrow and let you know if that's where was at. Thanks
