Yamaha g2 engine
Have anyone installed new cylinder rings on their g2. Mine is smoking. Already did the valve seals with the air hose. Was wondering if the jug comes off like a 4 wheeler engine or you actually have to go to the bottom of the engine and disconnect the connecting rod from the crank and push the piston out or I can simply remove the jug and leave the bottom end alone

Re: Yamaha g2 engine
I did mine a couple weeks ago, you have to go through the bottom as it is all one piece. Not a tough job though and to be honest pretty fun!

Re: Yamaha g2 engine
Mine is smoking pretty bad also,Did you just replace rings. Or bore it out and new piston rings combo? Did you have to pull the whole engine assembly out of the cart? Thanks
