Default Yamaha G1 charging coil leads

How many wire leads should be coming out of my charging coil ?

When I pulled my engine apart and pulled the stator plate there were the 2 coils .... Charging and pulsar ... Pulsar had 2 wires w/r .. w/g .

Charging coil only had 1 brown wire
Stator plate had a wire holding clip secured with a connector and black wire

The photo shows my magneto wires and how they were when I took it apart except the black wire has been replaced with the green wire

The white is a shrink wrap around the 2 wires coming from pulsar coil

Does charging coil have 2 wires coming out of the windings ? 1 .. brown ... 1 ... Black

Yes I have the same diagram

But does the black wire originate from the coil or does it originate from the wire holder screw?

I'm testing my entire ignition system to identify why my engine will only give me a pop and stops the entire engine not pop and keep rolling

The holder is just that a holder the eyelet connector should not be there there should be four wires coming out three female connectors and one male male being the ground that plug into the wiring harness

So the w/r and g/r originate from the pulsar coil

The brown and black wire originate from the charging coil

I don't have a harness with connectors ... I had to pull the fan off and run wires from the coils... Ok ... So when I pulled the magneto off I had 2 wires coming from the pulsar coil and 1 brown wire coming from the charging coil and 1 black wire attached to the set screw ... Just like in the photo .... Green wire represents the black .... I didn't have a harness with connectors I had 4 wires that had been cut
