It very well could be did you get original carb when you bought it? But definitely need to rule out compression before anything else

This just happened to my G1 last month. Same exact thing as listed here:

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...ging-down.html

The guy I got the cart from had put a ew China carb on it.

My cart would run like a champ then bog down when hot. If parked when the engne was hot the cart would flood and not start again until the engine cooled some. I checked everything from compressoin to vapor lock with no effect. I adjusted the carb float so many times I can't even count them. Eventually I gave up and ordered another carb. Voila. That was the issue. The cart has been running great since. (knocking on wood)

Here is the kicker, it's tough to get a new carb that's not made in China. I searched and searched and searched and the bottom line is that carb's are either $300 or they are made in China. I wasn't about to drop $300 on a carb so I just tried another China one. It worked.

The moral is don't think for a second that your current carb is good just because it's new.

Mine was having carb issues too. I bought a $17 one off Amazon. It sucked bad BUT it gave me enough parts to be able to rebuild mine. I also ran mine through an ultra sonic bath for about an hour. I slapped it back in and it's run like a champ ever since.
