I don't remember there being a difference, but if you wanna be sure, call David when he gets back from vacation.

Re: Carryall throttle cable?
Thanks. My cable got claustrophobic with the exhaust and melted the sheathing a bit, and now it "works" but sticks so it runs like poopoo. I will try and order one from Amazon for the 290, if it works then great. If not then I'll call him when he gets back. There's no CC dealers anywhere near me, and kinda need the cart to work :)

Re: Carryall throttle cable?
I had a few do that because they were replaced (by someone else) and routed the wrong way. Run it inside the bracket under the starter gen and it will never be near enough to the exhaust pipe or muffler to melt.
There are two different length cables. 96 and earlier counter clockwise motors have a shorter cable. 97 and later clockwise motors use a longer cable. |

Re: Carryall throttle cable?
Yeah, it's been like this forever. Guess it finally had enough lol. It's okay, it was fraying at the end when I bought the cart... so I have always knows it was going to need to be replaced eventually. I saw options of 16" and 27". I ordered a 27" so we'll see what happens.
Precedents had an option of a 20" cable which would be perfect length for a straight run, but the ends are different and I don't know how well they would stay in the linkages. So stuck with the 27", will run it under the S/G as there's plenty of extra cable for routing |

Re: Carryall throttle cable?
Just to update, "that site whose name shall not be mentioned" had a 20" precedent cable on clearance for $7 so I figured I'd give it a try. I actually like this length better, and it works great. My carryall has never been this fast or smooth. I'm cruising around @ 20mph now that it moves freely like it should. The cable ends are completely different but work fine and are secure in the linkage holes on the carb and the governor arm. I wasnt sure if they would be or not but I'm happy with the $7 purchase:)
