Weird noise 2004 cc ds
I have a 2004 club car ds gas, it has a weird noise from engine or gearbox/rear end. Noise only occurs when the drive belt is installed and I am revving engine, but take off drive belt and rev engine, there is no noise. it sounds like it is in bottom end of engine as I took apart rear end and there is no damage in any way shape or form. Has anyone experienced this, my thought is once the strain comes on engine from the primary and secondary clutch's, there might be an overlapped connecting rod bearing or crankshaft bearing. No drive belt installed, no nocking noise.

Re: Weird noise 2004 cc ds
Did you inspect the driver on the engine that it is working properly and not the possible source of noise?

Re: Weird noise 2004 cc ds
The bearings on the input shaft of the rear axle get noisey. They are at the very top, spin the fastest and get the least amount of oil. They might not have a lot of play in them when spinning them with your hand, but when there is tension on the drive belt they will start to growl.
