294 4x4 carryall rear diff...pieces in oil
I was changing oil in rear diff, and saw some pieces too big to come out the drain hole. One piece did come out, and looks like part of a spring? The diameter is about 1/16 wire wound in approx 3/8 circle. I cannot find any part in my diagram that fits that description. Are there springs in there?
Can i loosen/remove bolts and just drop the bottom half of the diff? Otherwise, it looks major to remove the diff,,which may have to do anyway to fix it. |
