Re: How to make 2015 RXV go 26-30 mph
Just bought a used 2016 RXV that is a 6 passenger stretch (2 rows with back fold down seat). Looking to get my controller reprogrammed by Bob. I've come across some who have upgraded the controller to Navitas 600 amp. How would a reprogrammed stock controller compare to it (besides the $800+ upgrade cost)?

Also, would the stock motor hold up well to the 600 amp upgrade?

Re: How to make 2015 RXV go 26-30 mph
A stock 235 amp Curtis controller turned up is greater than 600 amps so it would be comparable to the Navitas. Getting it turned up is much cheaper than buying a Navitas. Unless it has larger than 20.5” tires. Any larger and the controller doesn’t like it.

Re: How to make 2015 RXV go 26-30 mph
I am trying to add a few MPH to my 2013 EZGO Golf Cart. I have a Curtis 1313 handheld programming unit. When I look at the parameters there is no MAX SPEED, like I see in the other examples. There is no SPEED menu in the parameter list, throttle, etc. But no place for max speed. I have a Curtis 1206ac-5201 controller and I can't find a manual for it.
any help? |

Re: How to make 2015 RXV go 26-30 mph
That handheld doesn't have the ability to do that. You need a 1313-4401 or a 1313-4331. And then you can maybe bump it up a couple miles an hour.
The guys here who really know how to program use a programming station to reprogram a controller. The Programming Station needs to be in the Developer level to be able to change the parameters. Then that RXV will go 30mph. Good luck on your quest. |
