gas clubcar carryall won't shut off until taken out of gear

have gas club car carryall. Tonight when stopping engine would not shut off until it was taken out of gear. Is this something with carb adjustment or clutch not releasing.. Starts up good and runs good other than this problem. Thanks for any suggestions.

What year is it?
Is it key start or pedal start?

Does it shut off when you turn the key off?

finally sorted it out.. Turned out it was a bad micro switch.. Actually switch was not bad. The adjustment on the switch was just not going far enough to activate the switch.. Thanks for your interest and responses
