Default Transaxle swap - Graziano to Kawasaki

I have a 2012 gas Club Car Turf 2 with a bad Graziano transaxle. Will a Kawasaki transaxle fit in its place? If so, what year range?

The simple answer is no. Stick with the unitized transaxle.

The old Kawasaki axle is made for a counter clockwise rotation engine, so your forward and reverse will be opposite. There's also a host of other parts that need to be swapped including the entire engine cradle, so it's not something that's feasible unless you have an entire parts cart.

The graziano axles are typically not hard to rebuild. The input shaft bearings are the only thing that usually fail, but can be replaced. You mostly need a press or access to one.

The later axles seem to have more frequent wheel bearing failures, but those are usually not too difficult to replace.

Can you define “bad”? Did it pee on the rug or just generally not listen and misbehave?

What’s it doing exactly?

It's "bad" because the forward and reverse gears and syncros are a little stripped. So it pops out of gear. Parts are no longer available.

I have several Club Car Turf 2's ranging from 2001-2014. From a quick inspection the transaxles all appear the same. They all rotate the same direction. Some are Graziano, some are Kawasaki.

Can anyone tell me which gear is for reverse and which is forward, number 12 or 13 on the diagram? I was able to find the 25 tooth gear p/n 102898901. I was not able to find the 28 tooth gear p/n 102899001.
