Re: desulfite batts
my neighbor has reworked several old batterys
and has been sucessful about 99% of the time. i guess it remains to be seen how long they will last.they seem to have come back to life for now anyway |

Re: desulfite batts
How do you do this? I have an electronic 12v charger that has the desulfate button; I guess I could do it on 2 of my 6 volts at a time? Yes No? or do they have to be done 1 at a time?

Re: desulfite batts
Some people say they have some luck with it. I, however, think it's a waste of time. You WILL have to replace the batteries at some point - spending time and money attempting to rejuvinate old batteries is only a very temporary fix at best...

Re: desulfite batts
The real "?" is do you have more time or more money.
If time is not problem then definitely try it and send us the results , the more information the better. And the more measurements U make during the test/project the better . If you are not on a budget then just belly up and get new batteries +$600.00! This is only my openion and may or may not reflect the views of others in this forum ! |

Re: desulfite batts
If I can revive a set of batterys and get at
least six more months out of them why not hold on to my money a little while longer. Yes you will have to replace them sooner or later.as for the time I have plenty of that. I will get all the directions and measurements down and post them tomorrow. I am not saying this will work every time and for everyone but it does work sometimes for us. |

Re: desulfite batts
That's 83.333333% "worked"
Now explain "worked"? I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but I would like someone to show some solid PROOF that it works. Not just that it takes a slight charge! When someone says that it works, then others read it and start to "think" their quick fix works, too. I'm all for trying, but I think these ideas stay alive because people doing it really don't know what a good working battery does? |
