tomberlin batteries
I am a newbe and was looking at my batteries and was told to keep the water below the plastic fill rings so it would not boil over, seemed a little low to me, any ideas??

Re: tomberlin batteries
slp, just keep the water about 1/4" above the plates and check at least once a month.

Re: tomberlin batteries
Any wet cell battery should have water added just above plates before charged. After charging completed add water to bottom lip of each cell. If you have an equalize button on your charger use this once a week if cart ran several hours a week. Overfilling water before charge will cause acid to boil over and you will see residue on top of battery.

Re: tomberlin batteries
Great, I really want to keep from killing the batteries, as there are so many and sooo expensive, I am also adding a batteryminder, it is an electronic desulfatinator, ever hear about them or how good they maybe, the write ups and adv seem to indicate greater and longer battery life and I really hate working on batteries, acid and all.
