I agree that the billet spacer would spread the load more but they're $60-$7o each. If the stud spacers work, the cost would only be $10-$15 per wheel. This is the drawing he send me, what you think?

Stud extenders and ring type wheel spacers both exert the same amount of extra force on the bearings. Its all about the extra distance from the center of the bearing to the center of the wheel and the added leverage. A 2" stud extender and a 2" ring spacer will have the same effect on the bearings. The major difference in the two is lateral force. An extender will shove a steel wheel in and out right around the lug hole and cause stress fractures. Steel wheels need the support. This will not happend nearly as much, if at all, with a thicker aluminum wheel. The ring type wheel spacers provide much more support that steel wheels need. If your not using steel wheels you can save a lot of money by going with simple extenders.

I gave the stud spacer a go, been a year with no issues. And I'm not kind to the cart either. I checked them before xmas and everyting looked fine. (I had a two wheel incident.) Of course now that I said something I will have a Catastrophic failure tonight.

Thanks for the feed back, everyone that I've talked to that actually use them say the same, no problems. BTW what kind of rims do you have, aluminum or steel?
