Default Putting 4ga.wlelder cable on cart, Do I need to replace the solenoid?

Just bought a 03 ezgo txt with 04 batteries. Got a good deal but need new batteries. I found a place that will sell me T-105 for $90, installed. A guy in the shop is telling me that I need to replace the solenoid because I am putting 4ga. welding cable on the cart. He says they will burn up the current one. Do this make sense
