'90 EZGO with no power
I have a '90EZGO GXT800 that seems to have no power. My wife was driving it and stopped to pick up one of our sons and tried to take back off but she couldn't get it to do anything. No sound of it trying to turn over. It clicks once when you push the pedal but that's it. I have the battery on a charger right now, but it doesn't seem to be taking a charge. Its been on the charger for a few hours but the needle on the charger hasn't moved past 1. Does it sound like it could be a dead or bad battery even though she was driving it, stopped for less than a minute and couldn't get it to do anything? I'm new to golf carts and don't know a lot about small engines so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Mine has the same problem. Sometimes I can ease into it and then it takes off. Did you ever find a for sure answer?

Re: '90 EZGO with no power
I doesn't do anything at all. Just the click when you step on the gas pedal.

Re: '90 EZGO with no power
Follow the accel. Cable from the carb. there is a switch at the front of the motor on the cart frame. It could be stuck closed. You may have a bad starter solenoid also.

Re: '90 EZGO with no power
The switch should open when you push on the accel.

Re: '90 EZGO with no power
I followed the accelerator cable but didn't see a switch. It didn't seem like anything was stuck. What would that switch look like? Is there a way to test if the solenoid is bad?

Sorry I was thinking Marathon. That's what I got. I'm not sure where or if there is an accel. switch on the TXT
