Default 85 gas ezgo "frustrating!"

Ok so my 85 ezgo had a broken tab on the cast starter and one of the mounting tabs were broken. I ordered a new cast end for the starter and welded the broken mount on the motor. Mounted the starter up and now it wont start! Check all my connections and their all good. Not sure where to look. Cart ran good before i fixed the starter. Any ideas?

Ive already cleaned all the terminals once. guess i could do it again. Ive done so much to this cart already. Cleaned the carb, cleaned the tank, new fuel lines, fixed the starter, cleaned the clutch, etc etc! Had it running but the starter was held together with a hose clamp because the cast mount was cracked, and the metal bracket was broke off the engine. All i did was replace the cast part on the starter and take the bracket off the engine and weld it. Hooked the starter back up the way it came off, all terminals are tight. tried to start it and nothing.
