Default Should I take my new batteries back?

I got some brand new Deka GC15 6v batteries, and when I got them they read 6.09v each. I put them in a brand new NOCO Genius charger overnight, got a green light indicating full charge, but only get between 6.33-6.39v each. I understand they should get to about 6.9. It's about 85 degrees in my garage. Should I exchange them?

I would think the charger is suspect first. Link us to the specs. What was the finished charge voltage?
And you do remember that new batteries are not 100% capacity until many cycles?

I thought they might require many cycles, like my RC car batteries to reach full power and capacity. Final charge voltage is 6.33-6.38v. I'm using a NOCO genius 4 bank 40 amp charger, specs here:

Everything's probably a ok being that this was their first charge, and if what is listed on the chart is accurate, I am right in line.

I don't want to knock your battery charger but it only puts out 10 amps... Battery manufactures call for 10% duty (or C rate as they call it in the RC world) A 200ah battery requires a healthy charge rate for the bulk or 1st phase of the recharge algorithm... does that charger have an algorithm?

It has an algorithm, but also a constant diagnosis to adjust charging accordingly.

You are right- 10 amps is insufficient, especially for 48 volts in its initial cycles but for 12 volts it is more than sufficient. It has 4 banks that it treats and charges individually at 10 amps for a total of 40 amps.
