Default New batteries not holding charge

I purchased six (6) new batteries for my cart, now it doesn't hold a charge very long. I used to be able to drive around for 1-2 hours, now only about 15 mins. and the batteries are at 50%.

1st off welcome to the sight

What do you mean by 50% ? What is the pack voltage?

Have you charged the batteries since you put them in?

Question Re: New batteries not holding charge

Are you sure you have all the charger cables hooked up to the batteries. 1-2 hrs on a new battery pack is not very good. What kind of batteries did you buy. U should get several hrs out of a new set of batteries. Talking 7-8 hrs at least.

my brand new batt packed sucked butt when it was new, I let it charge and then charge some more to get the pack voltage up, it look a good while of trickle charging, saturation type charge.
after a week now, it gets charged and zips around all day if you want it to, definitely much stronger now than when brand new. I followed scottyb's break-in procedure.
