F82 Rebuild or clone
Hey guys I picked up a older club car with the flathead engine it's a nice cart lifted newer wheels tires etc.Needs engine should I rebuild or clone It?also does anybody make a clone drop in kit?Its mainly for campground 7.5 mph max some trails there to thanks.

Do you know what the KF82 engine needs? How bad is the damage?

it runs but does smoke doesn't knock I was going to do a complete rebuild!

I've seen some drop-in kits for Honda GX motors but I don't think they make them for the 1984-1991 flathead carts. You have to do at least some custom work on your own for most swaps.
I love my KF82 flathead. It's a stout little motor. If it doesn't knock I'd re-ring it and call it a day. My lifted cart (see signature pic below) will do 22mph with the stock flathead. |
