ok,put f1 to a1 nothing,f2 to a2,nothing both ways,f1+a1-,or f1- to a1+ and still nothing.what else should I try? thanks

You may have shot brushes. If free wheels then not froze up but with power to unit and no go then inside prob brushes short or bad or very dirty armature so good contact is not being made to brushes.

If the starter is not in the cart, you need to put a large jumper wire from F1 to A2, then battery negative to A1, and battery positive to F2. That will make it spin one way. To make it spin the opposite direction, jumper F1 to A1, then battery negative to A2, and battery positive to F2.

hey thanks for the info!i took the s/g apart and found out it is 99.9% gone.the brushes are shot,the bering doesn't spin and the stator is deeply grooved,also the studs are rusted almost off.i will post pics soon and try to find a used one here.i live in panama,on an island and parts in this country are hard to come buy,ship one down from the states about $500.00 when it's said and done.i will post when I know something.only question, will another start gen work on this cart?just in case I find something floatin around.thanks again!
