Talking Re: Jakes lift install ????

Well with a lil force I managed to get em out .The front were the worst no room to swing unless you pull of the rear body.Had to cut the fronts off with a cutting wheel. After getting leafs down had to mess with getting both sides of the bolts out on both sides . Thanks for all the help and input.

Mine were horrible to do on my '87, the bolts were partially sheared on the unthreaded part of the shank over the years, which caused them to get stuck in the leaf eyelets. Lots of hammer pounding and they finally came out.

+1 on all of the PB blaster, hammering, cussing, etc.

When you put in your new sleeves, put a little anti-seize compound on the hardware.

You may thank yourself down the road.

My hardware looked like someone threw it in a grinder once I got it out.....

I just removed and replaced the rear shocks from my recently purchased 1999Gas Club Car. I had to grind a flat spot on the shocks so that I could put Vise Locking Pliers on the area and then turn the bolts off (this was after soaking everything with PB blaster for 1 day).
