Default workhorse robin 350 no fire what to change first

2000 model spins over gets power to pos+ side of ignition coil and neg- side goes to steady ground when spinnig over. is it the pulsar, coil or ignitor ? hate to flip a coin but im going to clean all contacts as well as the pulsar first. but is there a way to test any of these? thanks

I had the exact same symptoms on my 2000 Jacobson 1110 Hauler and it turned out to be a fried ignitor.

When you say the pulsar was full of gunk, you mean the plug? I'm having problems starting my Workhorse whenever it is damp out. I cleaned all the connections I could find replaced the ignition wires still the same. Where is the plug for the pulsar?
