Brute Force Batteies, Any Good?

My father in Law just gave us his cart. A 2000 Clubcar DS, 48 volt

water was low in the batteries, several below the plates, and some of the cells have cloudy or muddy electrolyte. My guess is the plates corroded and the cloudiness is oxide. Anyway, I've covered the plates, charged, then topped off, then charged and charged again a few times as balanceing charges. No luck, seem to have a couple dying cells.

I was tempted to dump the electrolyte and replace with a clean solution, but I've about decided that it won't be worth the trouble or safety hazard....

So, the cheapest local source for the batteries is selling a Brute Force battery. I don't see much mention on line of these. Any good?
