MCI - Pre MCI swap issue

Hi guys,
New to the forum...and...
I made a little bit of a mistake. I bought a souped up pre mci 350 (372cc) motor for my workhorse. After I got it installed realized my old motor was an MCI. Also found out the mci coils tht I have wont work properly with the pre mci pulsar. It would run but with the rpms limited along with an occasional backfire through the carb. Can I simply buy a pre mci coil and make my problem go away? If so, how does the pre mci coil wire up in a cart which has wiring designed for an MCI motor? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Besides this ignition issue, are there any other major differences or reasons I would have issues beyond my current one? Id like to have this thing going for the 4th. Thanks!
