Ezgo GEEP imposter build started
I guess I will have to call this build the EEEP or ZEEP. I am going for the 70-80s CJ look eventually
First stage complete 4" lift Black Spoke 12s with 23" tires new front leaf springs new shocks all around all new front tie rod ends and alignment tune up, but still have the occasional back fire |

Re: Ezgo GEEP imposter build started
is the backfire mainly when You let off the pedal ? I ask because there is supposed to be a small spring between the cable stop and carb arm to assist the butterfly in completely closing when You let off the gas - without it, when You let off the pedal IE: no spark, the carb keeps drawing fuel until you hit the gas again then BANG - backfire city ... It's incredibly common for these springs to be lost along the way, I have actually used the spring from a click-type pen many times to solve the issue!

Yeah I adjusted the cable to be sure the spring is working and the butterfly is closing all the way which did improve it, now its just the occasional backfire, but still present
