My .02....

I also have added a little Lucas Oil Stabilizer or Hyperlube Oil Supplement.
I have had good results with Liquid Moly products as well. They are $$, but
I can hear (lower noise) and see (temp) positives.
I feel the new technology in lubrication is moving towards "nano-size particles" and ceramic bases.

The syn oil they actually build the molecules for specific performance like superior cling and shear properties.Open up an engine that has been on syn oil and not the lack of sludge. Also note how all the parts feel nicely oiled even if it has been sitting.Want a simple demo , dip a push rod in each type of oil. Take it out let let dry for a day.See the difference. Still not convinced.Try the same test with the 2 oils that have been run for some miles. You decide.

I will add my .02 worth. I tried synthetic oil in my 93 CC DS and it started burning oil and leaking around the seals. A friend had me put synthetic in his 2006 Yamaha and his started slinging oil around both crankshaft seals. Both carts were not using any oil prior to trying synthetic. I tried going back to conventional oil and neither one would quit using oil. I wound up overhauling both engines. I will never again use synthetic oil in a golf cart that has been run on conventional oil.

I have used both Dino and syn back and forth for 6+ yrs in my 25 yr old cart. Never noticed anything different, except it burns both very well!!...

Amg,Audi, Aston Martin,Bently,Bmw,Corvette,Ferrari, McClaren,Mercedes,Nissan, and Porsche all recommend one syn oil or another in their high performance engines. One thing I have noticed is increased oil usage on syn oil.My guess is that because of if its superior cling properties the oil scraper rings don't get as much of it off the cylinder walls. But whatever makes your grip slip.
